Welcome to the Math Trail!!
Hannah Ashley, Jessica Marsh, and Kayla Schwartz welcome you to the New Hanover County Arboretum math trail! This trial is designed for students of all ages ranging from kindergarten to sixth grade. This math trail takes place in the Wilmington's very unique and beautiful arboretum and allows students to see the math working in nature and real life. Students will complete fun and interactive math problems all while being in a spacious, open outdoor area. The trail starts as soon as students enter the arboretum and takes students through the various beautiful gardens, including Koi fish pond and the awesome children's garden and ends on the other side of the Koi fish pond. Make sure to bring paper, pencil, and measuring tape to help you solve the problems as well as some quarters to feed the gigantic Koi fish.
The trail starts at the Open Sign that is located on your left as you walk through the gate into the Arboretum. Any definitions of mathematical or other terms that you may be unsure of can be found in the Glossary section and these words will be italicized in the question.
